I hope that you will pardon me for not introducing myself directly, for the use of a pseudonym was deemed necessary – considering the responsibilities and the gravitas of my prominent position as lead scientist in the development and advancement of novel, experimental treatments for cancer. Suffice it to say that I have real-world experience with both the intellectual challenges and the social adversities one encounters when aspiring to accomplish something that has never been done before, something that is powerful, useful, and grand!!!  So powerful, it changes the course of an intractable disease…. So useful, it surpasses all previous outcomes….  So grand, it heralds a new epoch of survival, quality of life, and freedom from disease.  Suffice it to say, we had to meet in another way.
